The vital ingredient of “One More Night”

“What happens when you take vocal samples designed for House music and play them over Synthwave sounds?”

That is literally how Lazer & Lipstick started. Although I can sing, I’ve always thought that my heavy contralto would be wrong for the synth pop sound I was aiming for.  When you listen to synthwave singers like Nina and Dana Jean Phoenix or even male singers like Ollie Wride and Trevor Something, their voices are light and soft without feeling underpowered.

I eventually found a set of sample packs created by a singer called Lokka. Her voice was exactly what I needed.
